Admission Details
Admission to the GNM programme is made through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) online portal, as decided by the Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal.

Criteria for GNM Admission
The students have to clear the Entrance Exam conducted by West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board (WBJEEB) on behalf of the Central Selection Committee (Nursing). It is a state level entrance. Details are described in the Information Bulletin on the WBJEEB website: www.wbjeeb.nic.in
Residential / Domicile Criteria
Candidate should be citizen of India. Candidate must be a permanent resident of West Bengal uninterruptedly for at least last five years till 31.12.2023.
Age and Sex
Only female candidates who have completed the age of 17–35 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.

Appear for the entrance examination
Sit for the Joint Entrance Examination for ANM (R) and GNM conducted by WBJEEB.

Candidates must qualify and obtain a rank, as decided by the Health & Family Welfare Department, Govt. of West Bengal.

Admission is made through the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination Board online portal.

The GNM course has 60 seats.
How long is the course?
Three years. Each year has 46 weeks (1656 hours) of classroom instruction and supervised clinical practice.
Is the course recognised?
Yes. The institute is approved by the Department of Health & Family Welfare, Government of West Bengal, affiliated with the Indian Nursing Council and the West Bengal Nursing Council, and approved by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.
Is there a hostel?
Yes. The hostel is in the multistoried campus building and is under the direct control of the Principal, assisted by the Home Sister and the Hostel Committee.
Can I get a scholarship?
